‘Showcase Bangladesh’ in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday

The Bangladesh-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BMCCI) is organising the “4th Showcase Bangladesh-Go Global” in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday for promoting Bangladeshi products in the Malaysian market.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is scheduled to attend the showcase as the chief guest at the Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur while State Minister for Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Imran Ahmed and Deputy Minister for International Trade and Industry (MITI) of Malaysia YB Dr Ong Kian Ming will be present as special guests.

BMCCI president Syed Moazzam Hossain will deliver speech on the occasion while Chairman of the Showcase organising committee M Alamgir Jalil will give the welcome address.

BMCCI is organizing the event in collaboration with the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur and it is supported by the Malaysia South-South Association (MASSA), Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Bangladesh economic Zones Authority (BEZA).

The ‘Showcase Bangladesh-Go Global’ is BMCCI’s flagship event to attract investment in Bangladesh and expand the bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Malaysia by facilitating business-to-business interaction among interested companies.

The main objective of the event is to create brand awareness about the Bangladeshi products and services among the Malaysian entrepreneurs. With the theme of ‘Go Global’, the event will explore key trade and investment opportunities that exist for Bangladesh in particular from Malaysian counterparts.

The event will also focus on trade and investment practices, opportunities and challenges of major stakeholders- both private and public.

The event will include seminars and B2B meetings and showcasing Bangladeshi products. It will be attended by major business houses, interested investors and government bodies of Malaysia and also the investors from Bangladesh who aspires to bring investment from Malaysia to Bangladesh.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Shahidul Islam, Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia in Dhaka Amir Farid Abu Hasan and Bangladesh Association of International Recruiting Agencies (BAIRA) President Benjir Ahmed will also speak on the occasion.
