Bourses extend winning streak

Country’s premier bourse, Dhaka Stock
Exchange (DSE) ended today continuing the winning streak.

The broad index, DSEX closed at 4722.30 points on Tuesday with a gain of
28.68 points or 0.61 percent.

Besides, the two selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 and the
Shariah index, DSES went down marginally by 1.05 points and 1.39 points to
settle at 1634.79 points and 1075.24 points respectively.

On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 153,010 trades were executed
in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 227.47 million
securities.

Gainers took a strong lead over the losers as out of 350 issues traded,
184 securities gained price while 133 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

The top 10 gainers were Saiham Textile, Queen South Textile, Zaheen
Spinning, Agni System, Dragon Sweater, Tosrifa Industries, Central Pharma,
Makson Spinning, Hakkani Pulp and Fu-Wang Foods.

National Tubes topped the turnover chart followed by City Bank, Kattali
Textile, Langkabangla finance, Beacon Pharma, Premier Bank, Sonarbangla
Insurance, Meghna Petroleum, Dutch-Bangla Bank and SK Trims.

The top 10 losers were Emerald Oil, Renwick Jajneswar, Shepherd
Industries, SK Trims, Janata Insurance, Samat Leather, Silco Pharma, Agrani
Insurance, EBL First Mutual Fund and Rupali Life Insurance.

On the other hand, the port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)
closed at green maintaining the winning streak of the previous day.

CSCX and CASPI went up by 32.94 points and 58.41 points to stand at
8696.97 points and 14314.82 points respectively.

At CSE, a total of 10,901,016 shares and mutual fund of 267 companies
were traded, of which 149 issues advanced while 87 declined and 31 issues
remained unchanged.
