APPU certifies Nagad as world’s fastest growing DFS

Asia Pacific Postal Union (APPU), a
regional body of postal departments of 32 member countries, today
highly appreciated Nagad, terming it as fastest growing Digital
Financial Service (DFS) provider across the world.

A Nagad media release said some APPU member countries like –
Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, Japan, Iran
and Solomon Island at a virtual event also showed their interest to
replicate the same service in their respective countries.

The APPU’s Postal Financial Service working group organized the
meeting using virtual platform where representatives from 32 member
countries participated.

Officials of the postal departments of the member countries
overwhelmingly extended their appreciation to Nagad, the DFS provider
of Bangladesh Post Office (BPO), which has become the second largest
DFS provider in the country within one and half year.

They also praised the private public partnership model as seeing
Nagad’s growth trend.

BPO Director General Sudhangshu Shekhar Bhadra is the Chairman of
the working group and moderated the session. Executive Director of
Nagad Md Shafayet Alam also attended the virtual event.

APPU Secretary General Lin Hong Liang was also present at the event
and lauded Nagad’s growth trend.
