Abedin Equipment holds training for farmers

‘Planting saplings and preparing seedbeds with the help of Japanese Kubota Rice Transplanter would take less time for the farmers and reduce the cost significantly by less than half’

Abedin Equipment Limited organized a practical training and certification session on seed planting, sowing rice seeds in trays, seedling production with the help of Japanese Kubota Rice Transplanter to 16 farmers at Savar in the capital on Tuesday.

AKM Saiful Islam, chief scientific officer of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute, was present on the occasion along with Md Amir Hossain, head of business of Abedin Equipment, said a press release.

Md Amir Hossain, head of business of Abedin Equipment Ltd. Said, “Planting saplings and preparing seedbeds with the help of Japanese Kubota Rice Transplanter would take less time for the farmers and reduce the cost significantly by less than half. The farmer will benefit and so will the agricultural mechanization of Bangladesh through the help of this piece of machinery.”

The program consisted of two robust sessions.

The first session from 10 AM to 1 PM accommodated participants who underwent classroom-based training on ‘Rice Transplanter’, which was held at Sobhapur, Rajfulbaria in Savar.

The second session was held at 2.30 PM at South Meitka village in Hemayetpur, Savar.

This part of the program involved hands-on training on how to operate a Rice Transplanter, followed by an awarding session of certificates to participants at the event.
