Digital Summit 2022 held to strengthen Bangladesh’s journey towards winning the digital age

Bangladesh Brand Forum hosted the 9th edition of Digital Summit at The Grand Ballroom of Le Meridien on Saturday.

Under the theme “Winning the Digital Age,” the summit was presented by Meghna Group of Industries, powered by Httpool Bangladesh, in association with Adjust & The Daily Star, reads a press release.

The summit consisted of four keynote sessions, four-panel discussions, two insight sessions and one case study.

The speakers joined from different regions of the world and shared knowledge and experiences. Alongside, there were notable local experts who enlightened and put forward different knowledge areas through the panel and other sessions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director and Creative Editor of Bangladesh Brand Forum Nazia Andaleeb Preema said: “The post covid reality has unveiled the true potential of a digital world in front of us. It’s high time we cashed in on all the opportunities the superior digital ecosystem offers us. But again, opportunities come with challenges. So the professionals and experts here have to lead meeting those challenges and filling the gaps.”

Starting from the importance of creativity and strategy in the digitally fragmented era, the day-long event shed light on important issues like the significance of data as the most underutilized asset of a marketer, the essentiality of long-term influencer partnerships for a brand and how a brand can explore the new horizon through marketing in the metaverse.

Bangladesh Brand Forum initiated the Digital Summit in 2014. Throughout the successive initiatives, Digital Summit has become the apex platform for the country’s digital marketers.

This year’s summit was attended by more than 350 professionals. The summit delved deep into the industry challenges allowing industry leaders to share multi-dimensional experiences.

It also enabled a platform to stage exclusive discussions on possible solutions, analyze digital trends, integrate technology & innovation and develop industry guidelines to positively contribute to the digital media marketing industry facing challenges during this crisis period.

Speaking about privacy, Mathieu Brunier said in the first keynote session: “Privacy matters because users care about it. 64% of users don’t trust companies with their data. However, data is important for relevant and useful user experience.”

In the first panel discussion, Mahfuz Sadique said: “For the first time ever in the mode of communication, we, the consumers, are in the power of communication. It is impossible to adjust to every single platform that has emerged and will emerge in future. Hence it is important to have a platform-neutral strategy and then customize according to the platform.”
