ABBC Chairperson Asif Kawnine said that the NSW Business Chamber, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) will be associates of the conference, reports BSS.
He said industry bodies and associations, researchers, industry and policy analysts, government officials of both counties and policymakers will take part in the event to demonstrate and discuss opportunities in trade and investments.
He informed that Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is expected to inaugurate the conference and lead a delegation from the private sector and government of Bangladesh. The delegation is likely to include BIDA executive chairman, commerce secretary and president of the Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), he added.
He said the event is expected to be one of the impactful trade conferences, bringing together business entities from Bangladesh and Australia with current and future business interest in each other. Asif Kawnine said Bangladesh will try to find out the ways of increasing trade and investment between the two countries.
“We will focus on different products, including readymade garments, leather and pharmaceuticals in the conference. We will also talk about the non tariff barrier and non tariff measures,” he added.
