Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment
Minister Imran Ahmad today said the government is building hi-tech parks with
an aim to dig out enormous opportunities for youth entrepreneurs.
“Hi-Tech park, software Technology Park and IT training and incubation
center are establishing in the country aiming to create endless opportunities
for the youth entrepreneurs,” he said while addressing at the opening of a
month-long women entrepreneurs fair at Shahi Eidgah playground in Sylhet
city.
Information technology, Software Technology, Bio-Technology, Renewable
Energy, Green Technology, IT Hardware, IT Enabled Services and R&D etc. are
major areas of investment in the Hi-Tech industry in Bangladesh.
Along with male workers, the minister said a large number of women of the
country are working in different foreign countries and playing a major role
in the economy.
Sylhet Women’s Chamber of Commerce organised the programme.
The government has developed various training facilities for the women in
the country. Even the Technical Training Center (TTC) is being established by
the government in every upazila of the country.
