The general index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange went past 6,900 points as investors remain bullish about the prospect of the economy despite the ongoing economic slowdown and are strongly participating in the trading activity.
The DSEX rose to 6,900.92 at 1:07pm, according to the DSE. This is the highest level since the index was introduced in 2013.
The DSEX has surged 60 per cent since the pandemic hit the country 17 months ago.
