The Dhaka bourse bounced back in the first two hours of trading today after falling for consecutive six days.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), soared 46 points, or 0.67 per cent, to 6,819.73 until 12:20 pm.
At the DSE, 304 stocks advanced, 41 fell and 25 were unchanged.
The market is rising, as investors are hoping to get a good outcome from the meeting that is going to be held between the central bank and the stock market regulator, according to analysts.
The Chattogram Stock Exchange has also maintained a rising trend so far today.
The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, rose 101 points, or 0.5 per cent, to 19,939.
Among 225 traded stocks, 136 rose, 68 fell and 21 remained the same.
