The stock market index was in a swinging mood in the first two hours of trading today.
In the first half an hour, it rose by more than 30 points then fell. Again it rose 40 points at around 11.30 am.
At 12.15 pm, the DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, fell 7 points, or 0.10 per cent from the previous day to hit 6,875.
At the DSE, 164 stocks advanced, 149 declined and 63 remained unchanged.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange, CSE, also dropped today.
The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, edged down 20 points, or 0.10 per cent, to 20,137.
Among traded 191 stocks, 83 rose, 79 fell and 29 remained the same.
