The ten most-traded stocks accounted for 28 per cent of the weekly market turnover on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) this week.
Beximco topped the turnover chart as it generated a turnover of Tk 2.59 billion, which was 6.61 per cent of the week’s total turnover, according to the DSE data.
The company’s share closed at Tk 134.80 on Thursday, gaining 0.30 per cent from the previous week.
The total turnover of DSE stood at over Tk 39.26 billion.
IPDC Finance came second on the turnover chart, generating a turnover of Tk 1.40 billion. The company’s share price rose 16.01 per cent to close at Tk 55.80 each on Thursday.
Orion Pharma secured the third spot with a turnover of Tk 1.22 billion. The company’s share closed at Tk 93.30, gaining 5.30 per cent over the previous week.
GSP Finance generated Tk 1.06 billion, grabbing 2.72 per cent of the weekly market turnover. The company’s share price advanced 4.33 per cent to close at Tk 33.70 each on Thursday.
Bangladesh Shipping Corporation posted a turnover of Tk 949.49 million and captured 2.42 per cent of the weekly market turnover. The company’s share gained 2.27 per cent and closed at Tk 121.40 each.
JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing grabbed 2.34 per cent of weekly market turnover, featuring a value of Tk 917.16 million. During the week, the company’s share price advanced 2.54 per cent and closed at Tk 121.40 each.
Genex Infosys, with a turnover of Tk 749.12 million, grabbed 1.91 per cent of the weekly turnover. Its share price advanced 11.99 per cent and closed at Tk 90.60 each.
