Refiners have hiked the prices of soybean oil by nearly 4 per cent to Tk 192 per litre, said a press release today.
The new prices have been made effective from today, said Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners’ and Vanaspati Manufacturers’ Association.
The refiners also hiked the prices of loose or unpackaged soybean oil by 5.42 per cent to Tk 175 each litre.
The refiners hiked the prices nearly three weeks after they demanded the government allow the price increase.
This is the second time in the last two months that the refiners hiked prices.
