Robi partners with Teletalk and Summit towers for infrastructure sharing

Robi Axiata, Teletalk Bangladesh and Summit Towers have entered into a triparty agreement for sharing existing network infrastructure.

Robi and Teletalk will be able to share their infrastructure in collaboration with Summit Tower as per infrastructure or tower sharing guidelines under the agreement, reads a press release.

An agreement has been signed among the companies recently in the conference room of the Posts and Telecommunications division at the Bangladesh Secretariat in presence of BTRC Chairman (Senior Secretary) Shyam Sunder Sikder, Post and Telecommunication Division Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman.

Teletalk’s Managing Director AKM Habibur Rahman, Summit Tower’s MD and CEO Md Arif Al Islam and Robi’s ACEO and CFO M Riyaaz Rasheed signed the agreement on behalf of their companies.

Robi’s EVP, VAS and New Business Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui; Vice President, Public Affairs and Sustainability Sharif Shah Jamal Raz; Teletalk’s GM Operation Md Anwar Hossain; GM Planning AM Akhtarul Islam; Additional GM Regulatory Mamunur Rashid; DGM Regulatory Luthfullahil Mozid, Summit Tower’s Director Fadiah Khan; Head of Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Enayet Kabir; Head of Engineering & Project Implementation Md Noor-A-Alam Siddiqi and concerned top officials from the companies were present in the signing ceremony.

The partnership will help the MNOs to facilitate quick rollout and to serve their customers better.

It will also help MNOs to optimize assets including energy by utilizing their existing resources.
