CHATTOGRAM: Chittagong Customs House (CCH) has decided to auction 79 luxury cars of seven famous brands brought under the Carnet facility through Chittagong port.
The organisation has already collected the clearance permit from the Ministry of Commerce to sell the cars at auction.
Deputy Commissioner of CCH Santosh Saren confirmed this.
According to the sources in CCH, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Land Cruiser, Land Rover, Jaguar, Lexus and Mitsubishi brand cars will be sold at the auction. Buyers can inspect the cars from September 19 to 21. Interested buyers can submit tenders from 9:00am of September 22 to 2:00pm of September 25.
Santosh Saren, Deputy Commissioner of the Auction Wing of the CCH, said, “We have obtained clearance permits from the commerce ministry to auction the cars. So there is no obstacle in selling the cars.”
“Buyers will not need to collect clearance permit separately, so we hope that we will get a good response,” he added.
