Bangladesh, Indonesia eye cooperation in halal food sector

Bangladesh and Indonesia have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the halal food sector as part of broader efforts to expand collaboration in the halal ecosystem and agriculture.

The understanding came during a meeting between Bangladesh Ambassador to Indonesia Md Abul Hasan Mridha and Putu Rahwidhiyasa, Director of Sharia Business and Entrepreneurship at Indonesia’s National Committee for Sharia Economy and Finance (KNEKS), according to a statement issued by the Bangladesh Embassy in Jakarta.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration between Bangladesh and Indonesia in the halal ecosystem and agricultural sectors.

They agreed to work together to establish productive and mutually beneficial cooperation in the halal food sector, the statement said.
