The government is set to distribute the National Export Trophy for fiscal year (FY) 2018-19 today (Tuesday).
A total of 72 companies have been selected for the award for their outstanding contribution to the export sector, officials said.
Rifat Garments Ltd. (Ha-meem Group) will receive “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Exports Trophy” as the best exporter for the FY.
The Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) jointly organised the award distribution ceremony at the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre at Purbachal, Dhaka this (Tuesday) afternoon.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is expected to hand over the awards as the chief guest.
“The companies were selected on the basis of their export performance,” a high official of the ministry told the FE.
