Country’s both the bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), today began week
extending the gaining note of previous session.
The broad index, DSEX closed at 4129.08 points on Sunday, first working day of week, with a gain of 48.14 points or 1.18 percent.
Besides, two selective indices, Blue Chip index, DSE30 went up by 23.09 points and Shariah index, DSES also went up by 17.53 points to settle at 1397.68 points and 963.95 points respectively.
On the DSE trading floor, a total number of 79,599 trades were executed in today’s trading session with a trading volume of 100.73 million securities.
Out of 347 issues traded, 116 securities gained price while 59 declined and 172 remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers were Pragati Insurance, Fine Foods, Agrani Insurance, Pioneer Insurance, ACI, Olympic, GB Power, Marico, ADNTEL and Islami Insurance.
Beximco Pharma topped the turnover chart followed by Square Pharma, GP, BAT BC, Pioneer Insurance, Beacon Pharma, Nahee Capital, IBP, Monno Ceramic and Fine Foods.
The top 10 losers were Shyampur Sugar, NHFIL, Zeal Bangla, Central Insurance, Family Tex, FEKDIL, IPDC, ESQUIRENIT, HR Tex and HWAWELLTEX.
On the other hand, port city bourse, Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed at green extending the upbeat of previous day.
CSCX and CASPI rose by 78.34 points and 127.57 points to stand at 7,122.99 points and 11,749.81 points respectively.
