The broader index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange touched a new high of 6,900 points yesterday on the back of elevated trading activity as investors’ positive sentiment outweighs worries stemming from the ongoing economic slowdown. 

According to the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), 3,315 suspended accounts have been found to have around Tk17,000 crore in unclaimed dividends.

The general index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange went past 6,900 points as investors remain bullish about the prospect of the economy despite the ongoing economic slowdown and are strongly participating in the trading activity. 

Shares  at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) notched their third straight gain  yesterday as investors’ confidence in the market has remained solid.

The top 10 companies grabbed 22.36 per cent of the turnover posted by the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) in last week.
