Stocks keep falling since morning

The stock market continued the downtrend of the previous day as the index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) fell in the first two hours of trading today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, fell 35 points, or 0.51 per cent, to 6,884 until 12.15 pm.

At the DSE, 93 stocks advanced, 220 fell and 62 remained the same.

Sena Kalyan Insurance topped the gainers’ list that rose 9.89 per cent followed by Rahim Textile, Acme Pesticides, Eastern Lubricants and Express Insurance.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also maintained the falling trend in the first two hours.

The CASPI, the main index of the CSE, edged down 139 points, or 0.68 per cent, to 20,126.

Among the traded 201 stocks, 57 rose, 105 fell and 39 remained the same.
